Magearna does not join the starter board and does not roll as a timed boss. A distortion rift can open from 1:15, and this Pokémon waits in an arena based on one of its types (Steel / Fairy). The fight lasts two minutes. A win pays coins, three normal tickets, and two ×10 tickets. A loss or a timeout sends you back at 30% HP with nothing. Go in after the 3:00 boss, with HP to spare. A portal at 1:15 is a common wipe.

Magearna moves in PokéSurvivor

The run starts with Metal Claw (Garra Metal in the game). A steel melee swing. The default starter move for Steel-types.Later cards can offer any move of Steel / Fairy plus every Normal move.

Magearna questions

Is Magearna a PokéSurvivor starter?

No. Magearna joins the collection from the Alola gacha, or as a wild shiny if you defeat one.

What type is Magearna in PokéSurvivor?

Magearna is Steel / Fairy. Attack type follows the move, not the Pokémon, so a Normal move such as Tackle still deals Normal damage.

Can Magearna be shiny?

Yes. A wild Magearna is shiny at 1/4096, and a gacha copy is shiny at 1/100. Defeating the wild shiny adds it to the collection.

Is Magearna a rift legendary?

Yes. Magearna only appears in a distortion rift, not in normal waves or as a timed boss.
